	Last week Mom and Dad took me to Mom's family cabin on Fallen Leaf Lake. Here's Mom and I on the beach at nearby Lake Tahoe.
	We went hiking all over and I saw lots of wildlife, like these ducks on Lily Lake.
	Our friends the Jampols came up for the first part of our visit, and we hiked the Rainbow trail.
	Ali, Sam, and I also got to have a bath outside!
	Mommy and Daddy took me on a bike ride one day.
	Didn't my helmet look good?
	After the Jampols left Grandma Susan came to visit us.
	Yay!

	While we were at Fallen Leaf Lake last week a black bear broke into our cabin through the kitchen window!
	He opened the fridge and got into a jar of Miracle Whip and a tub of sour cream. Look at that claw mark!
	Among other plundering, he also opened the tall cabinet above the microwave and got into the cocoa powder packets.
	He came back a second time and tried to get in again, but this time Mom and Dad had closed the window behind the screen. We didn't see him again for the rest of our trip.

	Dude, today's my first birthday!!
	To celebrate, Mom and Dad threw a party for me yesterday in Golden Gate Park.
	We shared the party with Ali Jampol, who also just turned 1!
	Grandpa Mike came and took me for a ride on the carousel.
	And I had my first taste of chocolate cake. Yowzers, that was good!
